8C Business Plan Competition 2010

Showcase your idea. Fuel your venture. And float in zero gravity....

OPEN FOR ENTRIES - The 8th Continent Project is now accepting entries from around the globe for its 2010 Business Plan Competition for university students.

$50,000 in prizes will be awarded including cash and in-kind services, and an unforgettable ride on the Zero Gravity Corporation aircraft. Plus, the 2010 Grand Champion Team is automatically invited to the Global Moot Corp Competition in May 2010 at the University of Texas at Austin.

Final Rounds will be held April 9-10, 2010, on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines in Golden.

The 8C Business Plan Competition (formerly Lunar Ventures) challenges students in business, engineering and science to collaborate in creating business plans that employ aerospace-derived technology in products and services with immediate commercial applications here on Earth.

Teams should consist primarily of graduate students, although undergraduate participation is welcome. Students at one school may partner with students at another. Teams from anywhere in the world may enter.

It's not (just) rocket science! See what entrepreneurs are doing with space technology right here on Earth. SUBSCRIBE to the official 8C Blog.

The deadline for entries is March 1, 2010.
